The snow is falling here on the North Shore mountains atop Grouse, Seymour, and Cypress and the wind has been howling with plenty of force. Bringing in the winter season and all the festivities, events. and community gatherings that entails. From snowshoeing, to sledding, to enjoying the new outdoor skating rink at The Shipyards in Lower Lonsdale. Tis’ the season to spend time eating, drinking and being merry with friends and family.

Georgia Straight – North Shore Rescue was able to locate a woman who texted for help recently from Eagleridge Bluffs in West Vancouver as she was walking her dog and got lost in the flurries and oncoming darkness.

North Shore News – a big congratulations goes out to Taylormotive who are celebrating 60 years in business helping the local community with various things related to car mechanics, repairs and regular maintenance.

CTV News – Taiwanese-Canadian actor and model Godfrey Gao has died at the age of 35. Born in Taipei but raised in North Vancouver, Gao was the first Asian to be the face of Louis Vuitton in 2011.

Vancouver Sun – high winds have caused thousands of North Vancouver residents to be without power Wednesday morning. Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for parts of Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.
