At this time so many places, restaurants, cafes and similar are not open to the public for dine in or walk in, but we all of course want to know which places are open for business in North Vancouver?
The North Vancouver Chamber of Commerce and the Lower Lonsdale Business Improvement Association have both created lists of local businesses that are open during the covid19 coronavirus pandemic stay at home lock down that includes social distancing measures.
All non essential businesses have been told to close and the local economy is running at a fraction of its former self. However, the Government has planned and issued financial aid for families and local business owners at the Provincial and Federal levels. You can read more about that here.
Local grocery delivery and other related food and medicine delivery companies have been surging in popularity as well as online retailers like Amazon, however we need to come together as a community and support local business owners directly if we want to maintain the integrity of the community as a whole. Buying takeout and delivery products direct from the shops themselves and not necessarily using UberEats or Skip the Dishes.
Coming up soon on Wednesday April 15th is Takeout Day across Canada where we ask our readers to support local eateries and breweries by getting take out food to enjoy in the safety of your home with family. As well another trending concept has been #TakeoutTuesday which has been ongoing week by week and is becoming quite popular.
