For those of you who live here in North Vancouver and are in need of groceries being delivered to your home or office, you have many options to consider from local grocery stores and other related companies. But what if you can not afford to pay for the cost of the delivery and yet still want to receive food direct to your home? In this article we highlight a new local enterprise that is offering free grocery delivery for the time being to help out locals in the community. That is an extremely noble thing to do and benefits seniors and families alike.

The founder of this business Isaiah Freidooni which is called Kontactless Delivery was the general manager of the Steve Nash Fitness Club on Lonsdale Avenue before deciding to do this. He noticed a huge need in the community and has decided to take it upon himself to fill this need while serving locals. As a manager of the fitness location he learned about customer service and building a great team, which will reflect well on this new venture.

How did you come up with the idea of offering a free grocery delivery business in North Van?

It’s actually funny how this business came to be. Me and my friend Sooren were brainstorming ideas of ways we could benefit the community during this time of quarantine. He mentioned that we should just deliver groceries and said it as a passing comment. That’s when it hit me, this is exactly what the community needs. Making this service free was a no brainer for me. A vital and essential service has to be financially available to as many people as possible during this time.

What are your plans for growing the concept and helping out the community long term?

I’m excited for the future. With relevant partnerships with grocery stores and food providers in the area it would allow us to be able to put more time back in the pockets of families not only on the North Shore but in surrounding communities as well. And especially during this time where staying inside, staying healthy and clean is the most important thing to do right now.

What are some of the most popular grocery items that people are requesting for you to deliver?

To be honest with you I’m pretty surprised that most of our client’s orders are vegetables and fruits. I’m happy to tell you that North Vancouver eats quite healthy.

In your spare time outside of running the business what do you do for activities?

During my spare time I like to work on my car. Obviously working out at home is a necessity. And can’t forget Mortal Combat on PS4.

Is there anything else you might want our readers to know about you or your business?

The business is for the people. At the end of the day solutions to problems make life easier. I turn 22 in May and my one goal is to help 100 families in my community before then. I call on the City of North Vancouver and the District to assist me in making sure that the families and seniors that are being affected during this time are being taken care of properly. We can help, one delivery at a time. I appreciate all the support.
