How did you get started with your business and what do you like about operating in North Vancouver?
It all started with an Instagram story and a tag for Local Harvest. Intrigued I followed the tag to the website, learned about the gardening course and immediately wanted to meet these farmers. I went out to Chilliwack that weekend and saw the farm. I met Farmer Andrew of Terra Flora Soilworks and shortly after, Dan Oostenbrink from Local Harvest. These men are genuine and salt of the earth type people so I liked them right off the bat. I learned the way Dan farmed using regenerative farming practices. I tasted the food. Not only did it taste better, but it has also helped heal my body. I knew if I loved this food, and supporting my local farmer, others would too. I saw an opportunity to bring that farm-fresh, seasonal food to the North Shore in the form of a Harvest Box.
What are the products that you offer to customers across Vancouver’s North Shore and beyond?

What makes your business different than similar businesses in your industry?
Harvest Boxes give you the same weekly offering of freshly harvested produce without the commitment to an entire season. You choose when you want one. Before operating your local business what were you doing for work or a career?
I am a stay-at-home mom of 15 years.
Outside of operating your business what do you get up to for activities in your personal time?
I love to hike our local trails and recently, developing my garden has become a real passion.
Lastly, is there anything else you might want our readers to know about you or your business?
I know how difficult and daunting it can be for folks on the North Shore to access the Fraser Valley. From traffic to time, it’s risky business leaving the Shore. I want to be that bridge that connects people in my community to this incredible family-owned and operated farm and the abundance that grows there.
