With the weather forecast calling for snow and flurries in the near future, the North Shore mountains and Lonsdale corridor of North Vancouver are going to be looking gorgeous. There is so much to do and see locally, we truly live in paradise.

CBC News – North Vancouver District Mayor Mike Little has ordered an independent review of the actions of all members of council over the passing of a bylaw that bans pigeons in the municipality.
North Shore News – North Vancouver Liberal MP Jonathan Wilkinson has been named Canada’s new minister of environment and climate change as Justin Trudeau’s new government was sworn in in Ottawa Wednesday.
BC Housing – construction is underway for more than 100 affordable rental homes for seniors on the North Shore, thanks to a partnership between the Province and Kiwanis North Shore Housing Society.
Business in Vancouver – three companies – which include Allied Shipbuilders in North Vancouver, will now be invited to submit proposals to design and build a new 50- to 60-vehicle ferry for Kootenay Lake.
Dailyhive – popular Kerrisdale pizzeria Bufala opened back in 2014, and now the brand will be opening a second outpost in North Vancouver’s Edgemont Village at 3280 Edgemont Boulevard.
Vancouver is Awesome – the City of North Vancouver may soon become a living wage employer, meaning a significant pay hike for the lowest-paid staff and contractors. Ensuring poverty reduction in the community.
Scout Magazine – North Vancouver’s newest boutique luxury Seaside Hotel proudly announces the opening of its restaurant, Seaside Provisions. Both are in The Shipyards District of Lower Lonsdale (Lolo).
Tourism Vancouver – explore the Lonsdale Quay Market’s sprawling array of food and beverage options, all locally sourced and produced. On January 23rd 2020 you can experience the best culinary places in the waterfront building.
