When it comes to enjoying downhill skiing or snowboarding most of us do it for fun on the weekends or whenever we have a chance to get out and enjoy nature. However, there are a number of North Shore residents who take skiing and snowboarding very seriously and perhaps may even be professionals or representing snow sport brands as ambassadors. Whatever the reason you love to enjoy downhill snow sports you will benefit from reading this article.
Skicosmos is an indoor training simulator fitness studio located near the Lower Lonsdale Avenue corridor of North Vancouver. Clients can take advantage of the huge screen that creates a virtual reality downhill experience while you use the side to side slider while standing to get the real life like experience one would get when going down the hill.
The Lonsdale corridor of North Vancouver has 3 really solid ski and snowboard hills within a 15 minute or less drive of Upper Lonsdale. Including Cypress Mountain in West Vancouver, Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver and Seymour Mountain over Northeast of Lynn Valley. Of course if you are really wanting a great day of snow sports you can head up to Whistler or Blackcomb mountains.
If you want to stay sharp on your skiing or snowboarding or perhaps just miss it during the warmer months, consider contacting Skicosmos. We had the opportunity to interview founder Apostolos Dedas below to get to know him and the business better for our readers.
