North Vancouver is one of the most multi-cultural places in Canada and has a deep connection with the diversity we all share. Dating back to the Squamish First Nations who first inhabited the lands where the City lands exist today.
As a celebration of that, in the Lonsdale Avenue corridor we have eateries that reflect so many cultures from around the world. Including Indian, Persian, Mexican, Korean, Japanese, Italian, Vietnamese, and Malaysian just to name a few countries. Not to mention the variety of entertainment coming to the Centennial Theatre and the Presentation House from literally all corners of the globe.
The 33rd annual Caribbean Days Festival will be taking place at Waterfront Park in the Lower Lonsdale Shipyards district adjacent to the Lonsdale Quay seabus. Simply walk off the seabus and turn left and walk along the shoreline towards the BCIT Marine Campus. This large outdoor space usually has a number of tents setup as community activation’s and a main stage where bands and performers entertain the crowd during the course of the 2 day event.
The Trinidad & Tobago Cultural Society of B.C. puts on this event annually for the past 3 decades and the 2020 festival dates are Saturday July 25th to 26th.
