The new 8,000 sq ft splash zone and water park at The Shipyards development in Lower Lonsdale North Vancouver is going to be the center of all the action this spring and summer. What a wonderful addition to the waterfront community and with all of the nearby public parking and local shops, it should be quite busy with kids and adults hanging out enjoying the various spray features and showers that rain water all over the padded raised placements. You can check it out in the main photo of this article.

Right now at this time of year the space has been turned into a world class outdoor skating rink, but very soon when the weather warms up the City of North Vancouver and Quay Property, who are the developers of The Shipyards, will change the space over to the waterpark for everyone to enjoy.

The official website from City Hall says The Shipyards Splash Park will be opening on May 18th 2020 and run until September 7th 2020, with daily hours of operation being 10am to 8pm 7 days per week. Which gives you plenty of options to enjoy this new community space with your friends and family. Even coming over from downtown Vancouver is easy with how close by the Lonsdale Quay Seabus is, bringing people over from waterfront station.

It is recommended to use appropriate footwear for the splash park and bring towels, sunscreen and water to drink. Staying hydrated in the sun is very important for everyone including young kids. There are public bathrooms on location as well for you to use whenever needed. And on top of that picnic tables and lots of seating space around the perimeter area of the commons. If you need some shaded space take a stroll around the covered areas for a break from the action.

You can enjoy ice cream, coffee and other eats and drinks from the many local shops that have now opened up in the area. We are looking forward to seeing you out and about at the waterpark this spring and summer. Remember to use the lockers that are available for your valuables.

The location for the water park is 125 Victory Ship Way in North Vancouver.
