We are super excited to announce our launch party, after months of publishing and getting to know the community and local stakeholders. The launch party will be more of a social networking mixer for local business owners and stakeholders in the Lonsdale Avenue corridor. We are going to email you to invite you but also want you to feel like you can contact us if you would like to attend.
The launch party will be hosted on Monday January 27th 2020 from 6pm to late at North Point Brewing in the Lower Lonsdale Shipyards District.
We are going to setup a microphone so the founder and editor of Lonsdale Avenue Magazine can introduce himself and the media project, and also welcome the attendees to come up and introduce themselves and their local business. This part of the party will be casual and fun with a low pressure type of vibe and open questions and answers as they come up naturally.
This will be an opportunity to do some power networking with local entrepreneurs, business managers and other stakeholders in the community. As we break down barriers of communication and open dialogue within the community about how to work alongside one another for the betterment of the corridor. Meeting new people over cold beer is always good times.
Come with an open mind to meet new people and enjoy some of the best locally made craft beer here on the North Shore from our friends at North Point Brewing. You can read more about them here.
At the door we are doing a voluntary and non mandatory fundraiser of $20 per person that will be split between 3 charities for the total amount collected. The charities being The Harvest Project, North Shore Women’s Centre and Bikers Against Child Abuse. Whatever we collect at the door will go to them equally split 3 ways. Thanks to all for your consideration.
Normally North Point Brewing is closed on Mondays but they are opening up specially for our launch party event. Which is very kind of them, thanks guys!

This launch party is for local business owners, store managers and others who have stakes in the community such as developers and various types of entrepreneurs. The movers and shakers if you will.
Down the road we will have another event which will be public facing and more of a gathering of people from the community outside of the realm of commerce. That party will have a larger capacity crowd and be hosted within a bigger venue such as Tap and Barrel, Joey Restaurant, Browns Social House, Pier 7, Lobby Restaurant, Burgoo Bistro, Jack Lonsdale’s, Tequila Cocina or a similar venue of that size.
