In terms of being a rental community, what can people experience when renting at The Lonsdale?

Hollyburn Properties is a family company founded on the North Shore nearly 50 years ago, because of this, Hollyburn is deeply connected to the culture of the community and the people who call North Vancouver home. We brought this into The Lonsdale through welcoming common areas, rooftop amenities that encourage connection, and an experienced team of on-site Resident Managers. It is our goal to ensure each resident feels at home and supported while living at The Lonsdale.

What are all the amenities in the building and onsite for tenants?

The Lonsdale offers an amenity-rich lifestyle. With a shared penthouse, everyone can enjoy 360-degree views that span from Burnaby, to the Burrard Inlet, Lions Gate Bridge, and the North Shore Mountains. The social lounge is perfect for entertaining, and the wraparound rooftop terrace has a firepit, BBQ area, and community gardens. The advanced fitness centre is complete with a backdrop of the North Shore Mountains, and a remote workspace is equipped with free Wi-Fi for those who work from home. These rooftop amenities act as an extension of each suite, elevating the rental living experience and creating opportunities for residents to meet their neighbours.

Additionally, The Lonsdale is outfitted with secure parcel lockers, storage and bike lockers, EV parking, and an on-site car share. Residents will have exclusive access to our Hollyburn Perks Program. All new residents at The Lonsdale will be eligible for 1-year FREE cable, internet, and phone services provided by Telus as well.

What are the rental unit types and design features that come within each apartment?

The Lonsdale is a collection of 1, 2, and 3-bedroom rental homes. Each apartment for rent features West Coast inspired interiors, functional open concept layouts, Energy Star Samsung in-suite laundry, and beautiful kitchens with quartz countertops and GE stainless steel appliances. With a focus on sustainability, we incorporated LED lighting throughout, and the building is 20% more efficient than BC building code.

The building is dog friendly, why did you decide to make this decision?

Our first purpose-built rental development, Bridgewater, located at 14th St and Chesterfield Ave, is also pet-friendly. We received positive feedback from local residents and the North Shore is a dog’s paradise, so we are happy to welcome these furry friends! That said, we recognize that not everyone wants to live in a pet-friendly building, so opted to dedicate select pet-friendly floors and include a convenient dog-washing station to accommodate everyone.

What are the local contractors, designers and architects that helped you with realizing the building development?

The Lonsdale came to fruition with a team of dedicated experts and industry-leaders, including Axiom Builders, Francl Architecture, and Paladon Development Group LTD. The full Project Team is listed here.

When potential renters apply to live in the building, what documents do you want them to submit?

This is a great question! All applicants should be prepared with the following documents:

•       Government ID or passport
•       Letter of employment
•       Character reference contact details (non-relatives)
•       Landlord references
•       Bank statements or proof of income

Outside of doing marketing outreach and PR for Hollyburn Properties, what do you get up to in your personal time?

As a born and raised North Shore resident, I enjoy spending most of my weekends lost in the local trails or brewery hopping at the many craft breweries in Lower Lonsdale.
