Two local North Vancouver authors share their story in the new book Voices of the 21st Century- Resilient Women Who Rise and Make a Difference (WSA Publishing)  launched February 23, 2021.  The book has already been an international bestseller on Amazon and hit several best seller lists including: Amazon Hot New Releases, #1 in Business Mentoring & Coaching (Kindle Books, Amazon), #1 in Biography Reference & Collections (Amazon Kindle)

Gail Watson and Charmaine Hammond’s stories are featured in this book alongside 38 other authors. “My chapter in the book is about life being a series of moments and how situations and challenges in life are sometimes preparing you for your biggest challenge yet, in my case it was a breast cancer diagnosis.”  Hammond shares her story of coping with the diagnosis and journey to resilience.  Her moving and inspirational story provides hope in a time when the world needs it most.

Hammond, a North Vancouver resident, is a professional speaker,  author of 5 bestselling books (and is featured in 8 others). She is a business owner, and expert in conflict management, collaboration and resilience. She facilitates training for workplaces on leadership, resilience, conflict resolution and collaboration.

Hammond is turning her books into a fundraiser  for the North Vancouver Lions Gate Hospital oncology unit and outpatient cancer support services.  “I was blessed to have incredible support from family and close friends, and an exceptional medical team here in North Vancouver. I realize that many people cope with diagnosis and the treatment recovery process alone and it is my goal to pay forward the kindness (I received).”

Gail Watson, CEO of Women Speakers Association (WSA) and WSA Publishing, who also resides in North Vancouver founded WSA in 2011 and sets the stage for women to connect, collaborate and grow their visibility worldwide in order to fulfill her mission. To support this mission, Voices of the 21st Century was born to give platform to share these powerful stories that educate, guide and inspire the lives of others. Watson says, “its important that these messages are recorded in history to give readers and our future generations the opportunity to learn the truth of what we had to overcome, to challenge the status quo and understand what it took for us to reach where they are today.”   This book is the fourth in the series.
