The weather has been absolutely stunning lately, and we hope you have had some time to go outside and enjoy nature or a walk at the waterfront in Lower Lonsdale to soak up all that beautiful Vitamin D and positive vibes.
However, we do want to remind you that even though the weather is sunny, when you are hiking in the back country please be prepared for below freezing temperatures and always let someone know where you are going and when you will be home.
Search and rescue teams are searching for a lost hiker in the North Shore mountains who went hiking unprepared and they have yet to find him. Which is of course very sad, and a sound reminder to be careful and plan accordingly, given the sunny weather can be misleading temperature wise.
