We wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone for coming to the Lonsdale Avenue Magazine launch party last night at North Point Brewing and for your ongoing support in getting to know us and participating in content articles for the website. Without you, the community, we couldn’t do what we do.
There was a wonderful mix of very different people at the event which lent itself to interesting and unique conversations that otherwise would not happen. Most of the time social networks and groups of friends exist in somewhat of a silo manner and you hangout with mostly the same people and contacts day to day. At this launch party and for future events we want to get people together that would likely never get together and promote unity and oneness in the community. Everyone is welcome.
The launch party was a fun success and we raised funds for the Harvest Project, North Shore Women’s Centre and Bikers Against Child Abuse. The people who were kind enough to donate are mentioned below and we honour you for your contributions to the charities and people in need.
If you were not able to make the launch party that’s okay as we will have more events and workshops in the future. We plan to host events about every 6 to 8 weeks at local establishments in the corridor.
