We love sushi, and it’s likely that you do as well. It’s not only fun to eat but high in protein and nutrients for an active lifestyle.

Opening soon in the Lower Lonsdale Shipyards District is a new sushi restaurant called Sushi MAHANA, which offers an “Omakase-Style” Japanese restaurant experience.

The phrase omakase, literally ‘I leave it up to you’, is most commonly used when dining at Japanese restaurants where the customer leaves it up to the chef to select and serve seasonal specialties.

MAHANA will focus on offering premium sushi made with fresh fish flown in from premier destinations around the world.

OKAMI MAHANA and HIROSHI HOSHIKO are co-founders and co-owners of the restaurant.

The restaurant is located at 175 W 3rd Street as per their profile on the North Vancouver Chamber website.

When we have more information we will update the article with more photos, text, and an interview with the business owners.

You can visit their Instagram, Facebook, and website for more information.

Email the restaurant owners at info@sushimahana.com.
