Today we decided to take a walk around Lower Lonsdale at the waterfront beside Lonsdale Quay and The Shipyards to get photos and chat with locals. It was snowing quite heavily and much colder than you would anticipate so if you go out in the snow please wear a warm coat and dress appropriately. The skating rink was somewhat quiet compared to over Christmas and all of the local shops were open. The boardwalk around Lonsdale Quay was closed on the east side of the building due to very icy conditions. There was a definite stillness at the Wallace Shipyards and Burrard Dry Dock Pier while is snowed lightly with a deep fog blocking the view to downtown Vancouver.
