Steamworks Brewing Co., a renowned Burnaby-based brewery, is set to open a new location in the bustling Central Lonsdale area of North Vancouver. This exciting development is part of the Lonsdale Square project, a new rental development situated on 21st Street, just off Lonsdale Avenue and across from London Drugs.
The new Steamworks North Shore Taphouse and Restaurant is expected to become a popular gathering spot for beer enthusiasts and food lovers alike. With a seating capacity of 280, including 140 indoor seats and an expansive 1,900-square-foot patio that can accommodate another 140 guests, the venue promises to offer a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.
One of the highlights of the new location will be its impressive selection of beverages. Patrons can look forward to enjoying 20 house taps and 10 guest taps, offering a wide range of Steamworks’ beloved brews and other craft beers. The diverse menu, crafted by Steamworks owner-operator Carl McCreath, will feature a variety of options, including plant-based choices, ensuring there’s something for everyone.
This expansion marks the third satellite location for Steamworks, following the success of their flagship brewpub in Gastown and their Mount Pleasant location on Main Street in Vancouver. The North Vancouver taphouse is expected to open its doors in early fall 2024, adding a new dimension to the local dining and drinking scene.
