As you likely know the real estate industry on the North Shore is very hot pretty much year round, not necessarily in terms of volume compared to other cities of Metro Vancouver, but in terms of high value custom condos and detached homes that are one of a kind and meticulously detailed.
With that said, when you are a discerning client that expects the best, you of course want to choose a realtor to work with that has been living locally for as long as possible and works with a brokerage that is reputable and well known with a strong marketing reach.
Jono Ceci is a smart young realtor specializing in condos, townhouses, and detached properties in and around the Lonsdale Avenue corridor. He is quickly becoming the “go-to” realtor in Lower Lonsdale (LoLo) and we know he has a great chance of being a top performer year after year.
Recently we sent Jono an email with some questions to help our readers better get to know him, and you can read that written interview below.
Who are you and where do you live? My name is Jono Ceci and I was born and raised in North Vancouver. I currently reside in the beautiful and ever-growing Lower Lonsdale neighbourhood.
How did you get involved in real estate? I had just graduated from Simon Fraser University and was trying to find the best fit for the next stage of my life and career. One day, I ended up golfing with Allan Angell (former top real estate agent in Canada) and he invited me to visit his brokerage and talk about the business. I had always had an interest in the real estate market surrounding Vancouver, and the idea of working with residents of this community and meeting new people led me to where I am today.
What do you love most about North Vancouver? It is hard to narrow it down to one thing. It is the most unique place I have ever been in my life. You can go skiing on a number of world class mountains, relax at the beach, go for dinner downtown, or have peace and quite in your home all in a 15km radius. If I had to answer what I love most, I would say that I love being from such a unique place and meeting the diverse people in the community.
What do you do in your free time? I used to play hockey at a high level so I am still involved in the game through competitive Men’s Leagues and I am in my 9th year of coaching minor hockey locally. In the summer you can find me on the golf course, enjoying the many shops and restaurants in Central Lonsdale and Lower Lonsdale, and/or hiking one of the many local trails surrounding our community.
What makes you a unique realtor for people to consider? That’s an interesting question to ask. In a business of self promotion, I try to let my branding and my work speak for itself. On a personal level, I was born at Lion’s Gate Hospital, graduated from Handsworth Secondary School, and currently live in Lower Lonsdale. I know the North Shore as good as anyone and am driven to help the community which raised me continue to grow and evolve for our next generation. I am also proud to donate a portion of my fee to a charity of my client’s choice or my personal charity – The Hutch Fund – a North Vancouver non-profit organization raising money for the mental health community.
What does the process look like for buying and selling with you? It starts with a non committal first meeting to see if we are the right fit. It is very important for the client and his/her representative to be on the same page as good communication is vital to any real estate relationship. Then we can discuss our marketing strategy which has been used to list and sell homes from $450,000 to $17,000,000. Every home, whether buying or selling, requires a unique approach constructed from all the information available on the subject property, the subject neighbourhood, and a holistic view of the current market condition. From there, it is a matter of recognizing opportunity and executing.
How can people get in contact with you with questions? I am currently in the latter stages of creating a stunning website with one of Vancouver’s best cinematographers. In the meantime, I am available anytime on my business line (604) 218-5305, and/or my various social mediums including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
